Description
The Greatest Hits' celebrates both past and present Cher triumphs. It features a host of international hits including 3 U.K. No.1 singles that span the decades the 60s classic 'I Got You Babe', 'The Shoop Shoop Song' from 1991, and the most recent smash 'Believe' from last year.
The album chronicles Cher's musical voyage from the early Sonny and Cher masterpieces like 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)', to 70s and 80s Top 10's such as 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' and 'If I Could Turn Back Time'. The majority of the tracks included were released during the last ten years and highlights of this era include 1991's 'Love And Understanding' and 'Love Can Build A Bridge' - recorded with Chrissie Hynde and Neneh Cherry in aid of the Rwandan appeal.
Four decades on, and Cher is in the midst of another huge success story and her phenomenal career goes from strength to strength.
