In addition to the original single and two other tracks, LISTEN UP! includes three remixes of "Listen Up!" the second single from the Gossip's full-length album STANDING IN THE WAY OF CONTROL. The band, a trio originally from Arkansas, moved to Olympia, Washington, to work on their own brand of soulful dance-punk music.

The remixes are by MSTRKRFT, Arthur Baker (who produced New Order and Afrika Bambaataa), and A Touch Of Class. The MSTRKRFT mix bounces like crazy and adds in funky guitar fills. Arthur Baker's features sparkling synth arpeggios, and A Touch Of Class's alternates between a franticly accelerated rhythm and a more laid-back groove. The other tracks included on the disc are a remix of "Standing in the Way of Control" by Le Tigre, and Gossip's cover of the Aaliyah hit "Are U That Somebody." The disc also features a live video of the band performing "Listen Up!" Gossip has said that their primary goal is to make people dance, and this disc will certainly do that.
