Professional thief Doc McCoy (Alec Baldwin) knows his wife Carol (Kim Basinger) has been fooling around with his former partner Jack Benyon (James Woods) in order to spring him from jail. Problem is, Doc now owes Benyon a job for the favour. But the heist goes wrong, and Doc and Carol find themselves on the run from the law, Benyon, and murderous accomplice Rudy Travis (Michael Madsen). With a bag of stolen cash, and a rising body count in their wake, the McCoys make a desperate break for the Mexican border.
