Description
Undoubtedly one of the breakout indie successes of 2008, Portland folksters Fleet Foxes' debut LP gets a reissue here that includes the band's first EP in its entirety. Here chief songwriter Robin Pecknold crafts homespun paeans to nature and evocative mythology, with musical accompaniment that recalls acts as diverse as The Beach Boys and Fairport Convention. It's fair to say that the most central and recognisable elements of Fleet Foxes' sound is Pecknold's chiming voice and the accompanying vocal harmonies. This Special Edition is a perfect introduction for those yet to have been exposed to the band's charms. Features the single 'White Winter Hymnal'.
