Description
The two Oasis concerts at Wembley Stadium were the most eagerly anticipated rock shows of the UK Summer, and proved to be highlights of an extraordinary World Tour. These sold out gigs were a rock'n'roll triumph: 70,000 people each night singing each song word-perfectly, captivated by the band's every move, scorching sound and stunning lighting and imagery. The Oasis live album is a recording of the first Wembley Stadium show which took place on 21st July, 2000. The double album, released on the band's own label Big Brother is entitled 'Familiar To Millions' and will feature their entire set from that gig as well as an extra song recorded during the band's world tour. The album was mixed by Mark 'Spike' Stent who co-produced 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' with Noel Gallagher. Oasis played to 1.2 million people in 23 countries during their year 2000 World Tour. In the UK alone they played to 450,000 fans, including 145,000 at Wembley. The tour ended with triumphant shows headlining the Reading, Leeds and Glasgow Green. Oasis are currently writing and recording brand new material.
