In the tradition of Buster Keaton & Charlie Chaplin comes Eric Sykes and his famous comedy players. These one-off specials are the pinnacle of Sykes output and some of the most fondly remembered television comedies from the 70s and 80s featuring Sykes brilliant use of visual humour, all based on a single premise.
THE PLANK
Joined by Arthur Lowe (Dad's Army), Sykes is in need of a single plank of wood to complete the floor in his house, but transporting "the plank" from the builders yard to the construction site sees them involved in one scrape after another as a cavalcade of British comedy stars hinder their efforts.
