Following an attack in underground caves, the Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric find themselves aboard a freighter, destined for earth. What neither they, nor the freighters Captain know, is that the freighter's cargo is, in fact, an invasion force of deadly Cyberman. Hopelessly outnumbered, the Doctor and his friends, along with a military unit and the freighter's crew, struggle against a ruthless foe. With the Earth's very existance at stake, one of the Doctor's companion's makes the ultimate sacrifice.
