VARIOUS - MIXED BY MEAT KATIE

Australia plays host to Meat Katie for the next instalment of the Destination series, to follow up the bumpin house mix from H-Foundation.

Mark Pember aka Meat Katie, has long been a fixture on the break-beat scene as both a DJ and producer. His unique brand of tech-funk with trademark break-beat feel, has really kicked off , with both house & breaks DJs sighting him as one of the most consistent players out there.

On Destination Australia 002 , he delivers a compilation featuring unreleased material & some of the hottest tracks going around ,from the likes of Tiefschwarz, Lee Coombs, Gus Gus, Medicine 8, Soul Of Man, Umek, Infusion, DJ Shadow, & Meat Katie himself.

Meat Katie's genre defying sound is reflected in his DJ sets, which have seen him supporting the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Asian Dub Foundation, Death in Vegas & Ken Ishii to name but a few. His blurring of the lines between house music, breaks and techno has made him a pioneer both as DJ and producer and gained him a respect from a wide ranging music fan-base.

He has toured Australia many times with The Boutique & Gatecrasher tours. Forthcoming shows include the Two Tribes tour (Australia) with Layo & Bushwacka.

On the recording front Mark is signed to Kingsize Records where he is currently working on his new (3rd) artist album& also runs his own label Whole 9 Yards which boasts an impressive roster of such talent as Dylan Rhymes, Sons of Slough, Elite Force, Rhythm Division, Dark Globe along with past & future contributions from the likes of Rennie Pilgrem, DJ Hyper, Koma + Bones & Blim.
