Description
Released independently in 2005 ‘Deluge’ was Blundell’s first full album of new material in almost 6 years. Featuring
contributions from Ian Moss (Cold Chisel), Dave Leslie (Baby Animals), Kurt Pengilly (INXS), Chris Bailey (The Angels),
Eddie Clarke (Motorhead) and Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osborne) the CD album incorporates elements of country, blues,
pop and retro rock. ‘Deluge’ features a number of country radio hits: the title track, ‘Greylands’ (which deals with mental
Illness) and the powerful ‘Postcards From Saigon’, the latter earning Blundell four finalist nominations at the 35th CMAA
Country Music Awards Of Australia (Male Vocalist, Single, Video & APRA Song Of The Year). ‘Postcards from Saigon’
was also awarded Song Of the Year at the 2005 Australian Independent Country Music Awards.
