On it's three day journey across Europe, the famous Orient Express suddenly comes to a halt. The line is blocked by snowdrifts. Detective Hercule Poirot is awakened by a loud groan from the next cabin and the following morning a man is found dead, stabbed repeatedly. The murderer is still aboard, trapped by the snow.
