Description:
Formed in Melbourne in 2001 by guitarist NED COLLETTE, CITY CITY CITY combine guitars, saxophone, bass, drums, keyboards, organs, sitar, piano, tuned percussion and electronics to create a sound that defies genre but is soulfully familiar.

Their unconscious energy and often charismatic post-rock sounds have been compared to the iconic TORTOISE, DO MAKE SAY THINK, THE NECKS, CAN, SLINT, MILES DAVIS’ electric era, TRANS AM, ATIVIN, and GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR.

The album’s warm instrumentals take cues from indie-rock and post-punk, and find their way into various shades of minimalism, motorik Kraut-style beats, and noir-inspired jazz and a sublime, all-encompassing ambience.
