Description
'Pilot': In the year 2009, a group of genetically altered children, including a girl called Max, escape from a Military instalment known as Manticore. Ten years later, the US is in a depression caused by the "Pulse", an electromagnetic shockwave that wrecked havoc on world economy and shutdown every computer system in operation. Max now works as a bike messenger for the Jam Pony by day, and a cat burglar by night. During one of these routine burglaries, Max stumbles across Logan Cale, aka Eyes Only, an underground cyber-journalist who is the only voice of truth left in the corrupt city of Seattle. He offers to help her in her quest to find her family, but only if she helps him with his quest to keep the corruption out of Seattle, one case at a time.
'Heat': Logan's information helps Max to find a Manticore fugitive she hasn't since seen the night of the escape. However, ever since their escape from Manticore, Colonel Lydecker has been combing the country for the escapees, and this reunion might put them both back in his hands.
'C.R.E.A.M.': The daughter of Logan's former mentor requests his help in finding her missing father. Meanwhile, Max and Original Cindy try to save their Jam Pony co-worker Sketchy, from an angry mob boss.
'Flushed': Due to Kendra and Original Cindy's misguided assumptions, an ill Max is left to fend for herself in prison, without the luxury of her superhuman skills to help her defend herself. After realising her mistake, Original Cindy rounds up some help to break Max out.
'On the DL': Max draws closer to her Manticore siblings when Vogelsang uncovers some key information, however it may prove to cost more than Max can pay and time is running out. In the meantime, an old flame pays Logan a visit.
'Prodigy': Lydecker gets a little too close to Max when she attends a conference on genetic engineering to find out whether a guest speaker there can help her with her illness. Lydecker becomes distracted from Max however, when a terrorist group called The May 22nd Movement takes the conference goers' hostage.
'Cold Comfort': When an ailing X5 is kidnapped, Max and her brother Zack must team up with Lydecker to rescue their sister from those who would sell her for parts. Meanwhile, there has been a mystery buyer for the Jam Pony and Normal, in his efforts to spruce the place up, has put all his workers off side.
'Blah Blah Woof Woof': Lydecker plasters wanted posters all over the city with Max's picture on them. Now that she has become Seattle's Most Wanted, Max now has to flee the city, while Logan undergoes a delicate surgical procedure.
'Out': When Logan's single-mindedness towards his Eyes Only crusade puts himself and a detective in danger, Max must put a plan in action to save them from the gangsters who are hell-bent on exposing the cyber-journalist.
'Red': Against her better judgement, Max plays bodyguard to Bruno Anselmo, the man who is responsible for injuring Logan. Unbeknownst to her, Bruno is setting her up to betray her to an elite gang of South African roughnecks called the Red Series.
