Description
It's brilliant. No effort to write a glowing review here - Barry Peters has done it again. His second CD of music for children, Dancing Round The Bus Stop, is what all parents dream about: a kid's album they can enjoy.
Like his first album, Canya Dantz, the songs are authentic and deeply grounded in the everyday, but this one is better and the artist has significantly matured. Dancing Round The Bus Stop is an album full of real things loved by ordinary children- steam trains, the natural world, football, planes and watching telly. It's a very Australian album, with its sport, flora and fauna, and there's a definite flavour of the south west of Victoria, where Peters lives. Like all true artists, he takes the ordinary and sheds new light on it.
Do children's entertainers still become rich? This one deserves to be richer and famouser than the Wiggles. As I said - it's brilliant!
