Description
I guess the title of Faithless' track on this album perfectly clarifies the results that a multi listening process of Cruel Intentions OST will have on its listeners: you'll literally get addicted to it. From the first impressive scene, in which Placebo's "Every you Every me" inevitably hooks you up, you'll be constantly kept into a sort of exciting musical tension, reaching one of its major point with "Colour blind", which would be able to render touching even the most trivial scene ever. But luckily in this movie there's no need to lard brilliant musical diamonds to a banal scripture, for the movie itself can be pretty shocking even without its soundtrack. It's hard to find such a good combination of both plot and music, but Cruel Intentions succeeds. Also in the so called "cathartic" moments, ruled by gazes and silences between words, in those like the one in which Annette's talking to Sebastian in the pool, where "Ordinary life" by Kristen Barry is simply the most ravishing track for the moment. And if the credit are accompanied by Skin's voice in the deflagrating "Secretly", you can be sure you'll never get a rid of Cruel Intentions shivers.
