Jungle in the CloudsWith the help of some of the primitive tribal hunters of Irian Jaya, Steve treks from the coastal mangroves of New Guinea, through to the steamy jungles of the lowland plains and the misty, cloud shrouded valleys of the highland mountains to the pinnacle of his trek to one of the few equatorial glaciers in the world. Along the journey he encounters cus cus, crocodiles, snakes, bats, tree kangaroos, triocks, turtles and butterflies.Faces in the ForestSteve travels to the Indonesian Archipelago of Sumatra to the remote jungle village of Bukit Luwang to study a community of rehabilitated Orangutans. The Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre teaches injured orphaned and captured Orangutans how to survive back in the wild. As part of the Centre's rehabilitation program, Steve is privileged to take three juvenile Orangutans into the forest for survival lessons. Steve has an amazing encounter with a female Orangutan and her baby almost adopting him as part of her family.
