Description
Australian band
You Am I have been delivering the raggedy pop-punk goods since the early 1990s, and have it down to a science. The desperate but funny "Thank God I've Hit Bottom" opens this 2007 release, and serves as a calling card for the band's general attitude and humor. The 11 songs that follow explode with super-charged riffing and goofy ranting, with the occasional detours into sheer Stones-y brilliance ("Secrets") and Kinks-ian gentility ("Explaining Cricket").
