The 17-year wait is nearly over! Eric Clapton will be returning to Australia in 2007 for one of the most highly-anticipated tours in years. Currently mesmerizing audiences across the UK, Europe and the USA, Clapton is at the peak of his form. Last here in 1990, the 2007 tour will be his first visit to Australia in nearly 2 decades.
The legendary "guitarist's guitarist" has enjoyed an outstanding career, which to date has spanned 5 decades and a staggering array of musical highlights that includes stints with The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & The Dominos, the 2005 Cream reunion tour, numerous blues collaborations and a stellar solo career.
Winner of 16 Grammy's, Clapton remains the only triple-inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. A consummate and fluent blues stylist, his influence on rock guitar can't be overstated.
To take full advantage of the tour Warner Music Australia has been given permission to create a special Bonus Disc version of his 2 x Platinum selling Best Of, Clapton Chronicles. This bonus disc will contain several live and rare tracks, housed in a new o-card package.
