Description
Canton Godfather is a lavish martial-arts comic melodrama set in the 1930's. One of the most expensive Hong Kong movies ever made, it took nine months to shoot and cost $HK 64,000,000 to make.
The subtle, Scorsese-inspired tracking shots, elegant montages, and innovative action sequences, indicate the level of care and attention that Jackie put into this labour of love, inspired by 'Pocketful of Miracles'.
