GRATES

Recorded in Tarquin Studios, Bridgeport, Teeth Lost, Hearts Won was co-produced by The Grates and Peter Katis (Interpol, The National, Mates of State). On this album, The Grates have brought a depth and density to the songwriting, the lyrics are raw and poignant, the sonics more biting and aggressive.

There’s still that Grates spirit and vibrancy, but there’s also more reflection and more sophistication of expression. The raucous new single Burn Bridges is a rebel-rousing, hoe-down inducing little ditty of rock n roll pop.
