BOND

Bond, a string quartet made up of four sexy, sassy, spectacularly gifted young women, have created media mania both here and overseas by having their album banned from the classical charts. They are all classically trained. Two hail from Australia - Haylie Ecker (Perth), Tania Davis (Sydney) with Eos and Gay-Yee Westerhoff from the U.K.
Celloist Gay Yee Westerhoff has played with bands as diverse as Primal Scream, Embrace, the Spice Girls, Sting and Barry Manilow, while Violinist Eos has performed with acts such as The Divine Comedy, the Cocteau Twins and Julien Cope. They bring these diverse accomplishments to the fore of Bond in their own pieces and in their re-workings of classics. Furthermore they have employed Mike Batt to remix one of their tracks 'Victory' which further reveals their enthusiasm for bringing classical music back to the mainstream.
A stunning debut, this is the start of something huge.
