BIG GIRLS BLOUSE

The Fast Forward sketch series ran for four years, and featured some of the strongest comic performers ever to appear on Australian TV. Comediennes Jane Turner, Gina Riley and Magda Szubanski stood out with their wonderful spoofs of the TV industry and other aspects of Australian life. In 1994, Jane, Gina and Magda joined together to produce, write, choreograph cater and star in a landmark sketch comedy series, Big Girls' Blouse. The series comprised a one-hour special followed by eight half hours. It was in the half-hour episodes that viewers were introduced to the characters of Kath, Kim and Sharon. The rest, as they say, is history. [The people who say this are usually publicists.] But it was a truly brilliant series. Here is a chance to see where the phenomenon that is Kath and Kim began. Included on this DVD are all nine episodes of Big Girls' Blouse - a must for all Australian comedy fans.
