Description:
'Following the break-up of 60's mod group The Small Faces, lead singer Steve Marriott, went on to form Humble Pie with Peter Frampton, while the three remaining members carried on writing and performing, with new recruits from The Jeff Beck Group, Rod Stewart and Ron Wood. Carrying on with The Small Faces name for one more album, the band decided to shorten the name to The Faces. Though Rod Stewart remained with the Faces, he began a solo career in late 1969. Touring and releasing solo albums to drive his popularity to an all time high in the US, his English fans still only knew him as the Faces front man. When Stewart's second album came out in 1971, it reached No. 1, creating the international No. 1 single "Maggie May". The Faces resented Stewart's US popularity, but on the other hand it helped their 1972 album, A Nod is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse reach the U.S. Top 10. When Stewart's Every Picture Tells a Story reached No. 2 in the same year, it became obvious that he was too popular to remain in the band; he formally quit in 1975.
This DVD features Rod Stewart & The Faces greatest hits of the early 70's rock era. A video biography of Rod Stewart's early years that unleashes a Rollercoaster ride with one of Britain's biggest bands of the time.'
