THIS EDITION OF "BEST OF BOTH WORLDS" IS PACKAGED IN A DVD CASE.
Best of Both Worlds is a CD/DVD set featuring Midnight Oil's infamous Goat Island concert "Oils on the Water" from 1985 as well as an audio concert performance from the Capitol Theatre, "Saturday Night at the Capitol". "Oils on the Water" is presented in 5.1 surround sound.

According to their fans, the great "unavailable" property of Midnight Oil is the Goat Island performance of 13 January 1985, rebroadcast as a national ABC TV/ABC FM simulcast on the following Saturday night, 19 January in honour of Triple J's tenth birthday. "Oils on the Water" is the name Triple J dreamed up and that's how it's known. By all accounts it was an extraordinary event. Recorded in front of 500 disbelieving fans, brought in secrecy to the island west of Sydney's Harbour Bridge, the Oils ran through an electrifying set from a great period in their recording career including Best Of Both Worlds, When The Generals Talk, Short Memories, US Forces and Power and the Passion.
