When Leo (
Kevin McKidd) becomes disillusioned with single life his friends try to cheer him up. His flamboyant gay flatmate Darren (Tim Hollander) throws him a well-intentioned but unappreciated surprise party, while his straight friend Adam (
Christopher Fulford) urges him along to a New Age men’s group.
Though a seemingly heterosexual group, Leo’s romantic future peps up when he admits to a crush on newly single Irishman Brendan (
James Purefoy), who becomes increasingly open to a same-sex encounter.
However, things become complicated as Leo discovers Brendan’s ex-girlfriend is his high school sweetheart. Meanwhile Darren is having clandestine liaisons with rogue real estate agent Jeremy (
Hugo Weaving) in various properties being sold by Jeremy. Bedrooms and Hallways is a fresh, inventive film, which questions the often intrinsic role of gender in the quest for love with warmth and humour.
