Trying to explain a band like Gerling is like trying to detail a state of mind. It isn't easy, but you often have fun in the process. They're the band that have managed to come from as many different sounds points as possible , and yet still have an unmistakable 'Gerling sound'. They're a bit of this, a bit of that, and they do it all well.

'BadBlood!!!' is, without doubt, the most cohesive and defined album in Gerling's eclectic career, featuring singles 'Get Activated' and 'Who's Ya Daddy?'. Everything about this album has been done with a DIY mentality. The entire album was recorded at the bands own G.E.R.L.O.G. studios. The artwork was done entirely by the band. And if you were searching for that one word to capture the attitude and vitality of this album, it would have to be 'PUNK!', said in the most fierce way possible; anyone who has caught the band live recently will testify to this fact. Their sound is brilliantly deconstructive, and if anything, 'BadBlood!!!' is the sound of a band at the epicentre of the indie-earthquake.
