When a menhir thrown by Obelix lands on Getafix, the druid loses his memory and can?t remember the secret formula for his magic potion. Meanwhile, a major storm sweeps over the Gaulish village and a soothsayer named Prolix seeks shelter there. He quickly deceives the more credulous villagers about the authenticity of his abilities, and after the storm passes he sets up in the forest nearby. While Asterix tries in vain to bring his friends to reason, the Romans take advantage of the confusion to send a reluctant spy to the village to investigate.
