Description
Although their distinctive vocalist, Bob "The Bear" Hite, died in 1981,
Canned Heat was still a working band at the time of this 2007 release. As such, they were able to contribute a brand-new version of their biggest hit, the jaunty "Up the Country," as well as "On The Road Again," and a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "That Smell." The remaining 10 tracks are original releases, demonstrating the band's laid-back boogie-and-blues approach. New fans may want to look elsewhere for a more comprehensive collection, but die-hards and completists will love the more recent stuff.
