Description
BLACK CAB is a collaboration project between ex-FOIL lead singer ANDREW COATES and REGISTERED NURSE guitarist JAMES LEE.
Black Cab's sound is a blend of hard rock and electronica (think WHITE STRIPES jamming with the CHEMICAL BROTHERS).
‘Altamont Diary’ is inspired by the ROLLING STONES’ disastrous live concert at San Francisco’s Altamont Speedway in 1969. The album was written as a bastard son of concept albums such as THE WHO’s ‘Tommy’.
‘Altamont Diary’ features guest musicians such as RICHARD ANDREW (REGISTERED NURSE, CROW, UNDERGROUND LOVERS) and ANDREW MCCUBBIN (HOPE ADDICS). The album was mixed and produced by POUND SYSTEMS’ WOODY ANNISON.
‘Altamont Diary features a great cover of the GRATEFUL DEAD track “New Speedway Boogie” with a high quality film clip.
