A reluctant partnership is formed when San Diego Homicide Detective, Jake Slater assigned to investigate the murder of a fellow Police Officer, finds himself teamed up with the murdered officer's partner, "Reno", a more than intelligent canine.

Both unhappy with the arrangement, duty prevails as the two engage on an mad-cap murder case leading to a more than intriguing plot to spread destruction and havoc throughout the United States. The investigation combines blazing action, heroics and laughter when two honest-to-goodness street cops throw away the book in a bizarre race against time to uncover the deadly plan and save thousands of lives.
