The debut film from singer/songwriter/filmmaker/surfer Jack Johnson Thicker than Water will be released for the first time on DVD. The sound track to this film will also be released on the same day featuring 5 exclusive tracks.

Jack Johnson along with The Malloys (Chris and Emmett) shot the film over the course of an 18-month journey through the North Atlantic, South Pacific, and Bay of Bengal. Featuring Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Chris Malloy, Keith Malloy, and Dan Malloy this documentary captures their adventures in and out of the unlikely surf waters of India, Ireland, Tahiti, Australia, and Hawaii. Throughout Thicker than Water, prominent figures in the surf community reflect on the essence of surfing and how and why they have chosen it as their lifestyle. To put it simply, this film is The Endless Summer of our generation.

In addition to the 45 minutes film, the DVD also features a bonus 20 minutes of unseen footage, a photo gallery of stills taken by Chris Malloy and Todd Messick, plus a director's commentary from Johnson and the Malloys.
